BuzzFeed has a seemingly simple mission to “track the web’s obsessions in real time.” Truth be told, this is anything but simple. Behind all of the Lolcats and Sad Keanu posts are some serious analytics and behavioral data on how content appeals to audiences, performs, and is shared.
